About The Cottage

A Cottage of a Minister who used it as a holiday home along with his Scottish Deerhounds, who he took on holiday with him to North Uist for many years.
Situated on the West Coast of the Island, looking out to the Kirkibost and Atlantic Ocean. A estuary with beach to the back and the main road round the island just 400M from the cottage.
Fully refurbished in 2018, it boasts an open plan ground floor with sitting area, including a wood burning stove, TV, Radio, kitchen and dining areas.

We have a 4G Mobile BB access until unlimited land line issue is resolved.

We currently are still discussing with ISPs and BT Openreach the capability of a Broadband fixed line to the cottage, this is currently with the ombudsman.
As a temporary solution, we have installed a mobile broadband router, which is very capable of delivering an alternative to fixed line broadband.

There is a washing machine downstairs, but not a dishwasher. Broadband has been ordered with SSE, however, has not been fitted yet, however we do have limited mobile Broadband in the cottage. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms, centraly heated, superb views from the velux windows looking out to the Atlantic and both bedrooms have TVs, one bedroom has a Superking-size bed, the other a double.

There is also a folding single bed, which can be used anywhere.
Currently we are not allowing pets.
Preferred booking from Saturday 3pm (earliest entry time) to Saturday 9am (departure time).

If you want to change the exit day drop us an e-mail and see if we can fit you in. The cottage is cleaned between and disinfected by a fogging machine after regularly.

The cottage is kitted out out in various ways, with tech and consumables, there are foods/condiments in the cupboards, if you do use them, we would be grateful if you could replenish when you can, so others following you can have the same opportunity as you did, not all days are sunny on arrival ! Thanks.
